Description

EduTrack on the iOS app will send push notifications every time an important assessment (project, test, quiz, participation) grade has been updated in your Genesis account. The notification will include a description of the updated assessment, the numerical grade received, and even your new marking period average! Now, you never have to waste time logging into the Genesis Portal again! Best of all, you can turn notifications on and off with a click of a button - you're in complete control!

How it works?

To receive notifications, there are two steps:

1. Enter the student ID, email, and password associated with your Genesis account on the login screen.

2. Press the bell button in the center of the home screen.

Forex Research

Introduction

A while back, I was introduced to the Foreign Exchange markets. Although trillions were being traded every day, representing the largest decentralized market in the world, the Forex market was seemingly unknown and mystified by the general population. Thus, I became curious, maybe even a little obsessed, with understanding the market. With several different approaches to analysis including fundamental (macroeconomic analysis), technical (supply and demand), mechanical (bots), and quantitative (AI and machine learning), I realized that by analyzing and even trading Forex I can achieve an interdisciplinary understanding of programming and global finance.

My Approach

In my trading, as with most traders, I have seen the most success in utilizing both fundamental and technical analysis. Although these trades are rarer, the reward-to-risk ratio is much higher than using each strategy independently. Yet, recently, I have also been testing AI models such as Random Forest for certain predictions.

Future Plans
In the past, I have done some programming for Forex by creating indicator scripts in Pinescript and Python languages. However, with a desire to advance my skills in programming and data science, I am delving more deeply into the world of machine learning and data engineering, in order to be able to apply the technology for analyzing the Forex markets.

Background

In school, I often times struggled with anxiety not knowing my grades. After a stressful test, I wanted to find out my grade immediately, so I would end up checking my school grade portal (Genesis) constantly, having to re-authenticate myself every time. 95% of the time, the grade would not be posted and I would just end up wasting time.

However, I was not the only one facing this issue. Uselessly guessing when grades would come out was a rampant problem in my school. Something had to be done.

I partnered up with a fellow developer in computer science class, and got to work. The process of brainstorming, scraping, authentication, encryption, UI, UX, data storage, push notifications and server set-up was grueling and frustrating, but worth it in the end.
